Who We Are

Redwood Capital was founded by Krist Jake in 1982. Since then, the company has prospered by providing custom-tailored equipment leases, business credit, and related services to growing companies.

Mr. Jake attended Princeton University (BSE) and Stanford University (MBA, MSE). He is a member of The Dolphin Swimming & Boating Club and The Explorers Club. He is co-founder and former Chairman of Denali Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to research and education about Denali National Park and its environs. He is Founder of the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival, and is part of the volunteer team working to produce the fourth festival January 19-21, 2007.

The Dolphin Swimming and Boating Club, founded 1877, is located at Aquatic Park in San Francisco. It has 900 (+ or -) members who swim, row, and kayak in San Francisco Bay.

The San Francisco Ocean Film Festival is an educational event each January featuring films related to the ocean including the natural sciences, sports, and other human and cultural themes. Films are complemented by discussion/Q&A with filmmakers and domain experts.

Denali National Park, Alaska, is home of Mt. McKinley (20,345'), the highest peak in North America.

Denali Foundation provides natural history classes at its campus near Denali National Park.

The Explorers Club, headquartered in New York City, has chapters throughout the world, including one in Northern California.
